Issues with purchasing tickets/memberships on the SU website

If you’re trying to purchase a membership or product on the Students’ Union website and see an error message like this:


This usually means one of the following:

  • Your student details are not fully synced with our system yet, or

  • You have accidentally created a guest account instead of logging in with your Swansea University account.



How to Fix This


If you’re seeing this error, please reach out to us by submitting a ticket at hello.swansea-union.co.uk.
Our team will look into it and fix the issue for you.


Once your account has been updated, please note it can take up to 24 hours for the system to refresh.




How to Prevent This in the Future

  • Always log in using your @swansea.ac.uk account 

  • Do not create a guest account if you are a Swansea University student — guest accounts are not connected to your student record and will prevent you from accessing memberships or society pages.
